Most people are familiar with sins like murder, theft and adultery. But the Bible also talks about sins like pride, hate, selfishness and greed. Many people aren’t aware that loving anything more than God is sin.

It is important to understand that absolutely everyone is guilty of sin. The only person who ever lived without sinning is Jesus Christ. And it is important to understand that sin has a price tag. The price of sin is death. Jesus paid that price with his own life, so that you wouldn’t have to pay it with your own. Because Jesus died, your sins can be forgiven and you can experience freedom from sin.

1. Everyone has sinned: “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

2. Everyone has the opportunity to be set free from sin: “But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
